How to Choose Photos for a 3D Head
The quality of a 3D head depends on the photos. A few sharp face shots give the best result.
Best angles
Sharp front-on and three-quarter shots work well, where the face is clearly and evenly visible. Several angles of the same person help the model be more accurate. It helps if the face is photographed in soft, even light.
Quality over quantity
Five good photos are better than twenty blurry ones. Avoid harsh shadows, glare on glasses, hats that cover the face, and small faces in wide shots. Sharpness and good light matter more than the number of photos.
What to avoid
Don't use heavily retouched photos, ones distorted by filters, or group shots where the face is small. A strict side profile doesn't help the model โ a frontal view is what's needed. One sharp portrait is more useful than ten random frames.
How to upload
On the training page, select the photos you want from the gallery or upload new ones, then start building the 3D head. The result can be rebuilt if you swap in better photos. The finished model gives the image facial expression and lip movement.
